HUNTING AND BREEDING POOL ŽUMBERAK – GORJANCI
In the 1980s, a few Croatian and Slovenian hunters, lovers of the beautiful landscapes of Žumberak on the Croatian side of the border, and Gorjanci on the Slovenian side of the border, met and agreed on joint measures and procedures for the breeding and protection of game in this unique area. Very soon, the aforementioned agreement was formalized by signing the Inter-Society Agreement on a Unique Method of Game Management in the Border Area of the Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Croatia in the part of Žumberak and Gorjanci. Thus, the Žumberak-Gorjanci Hunting and Breeding Basin was formed.
