An unforgettable experience of Žumberak
After much effort and love invested in its construction and decoration, Bistro Žumberak Paradise opened its doors to visitors. Located in untouched nature, in the heart of the protected Žumberak Nature Park, in the small picturesque village of Žamarija, every guest can enjoy the Žumberak region.
The village itself is located 4 km northwest of the settlement of Kostanjevac, which is also the seat of the Žumberak municipality.
The elite-style Bistro Žumberački raj of the Miljenović family was built on the foundations of a neglected family farm, where we grow vegetables, fruit and livestock in the immediate vicinity for the needs of our guests in the restaurant.
Trout from our own farm
Behind the restaurant, right in the clear river, Žumberačka Kupčina, we have a trout pond. Gourmets will find delight in fresh trout specialties.
We offer authentic local dishes, hunting specialties, à la carte dishes, skewered dishes, grilled dishes, and other dishes and desserts based on long-forgotten recipes.
Our well-appointed hall can accommodate 130 people and is suitable for weddings, baptisms, confirmations, birthdays, congresses or just a break from everyday stress. The terrace can accommodate 40 people.
The homely interior is decorated with various ethnographic objects from the surrounding villages and takes our guests back to the time when people used to live, eat and drink.
We approach each guest individually, so our staff will adapt to your wishes and prepare you a quality homemade meal of your choice.
Sometimes we forget that it doesn't take a lot of time and money to get to heaven.
