The traditional hiking pilgrimage to St. Gera is being prepared, which will once again take place this year on the last Sunday of January, the 26th of this month.
The Holy Mass in the Chapel of St. Elijah on Sveta Gera at noon will be led by the parish priest from Ruda i Kotari, Reverend Darko Banfić. This year too, at the place where two peoples – Croatian and Slovenian and two rites – Greek and Roman – meet, they will pray for peace. This was the intention of the first pilgrimage, now long ago in 1994.
Namely, in January of that year, Saint Pope John Paul II called on the world to unite in prayer for peace in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Inspired by this intention, Father Mile Vranešić invited the faithful to pray on this mountain peak.https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1EMXoEwFLy/
